Adam & Caryn… l Engagement Session l

I had such a fun session this week. We had to reschedule a couple times due to our Alaskan weather, but when we finally got to together it was a gorgeous evening! Christi & Ben… l Anchorage Wedding Photography l

Here is a sneak peek from Christi & Ben’s wedding. It was such a joy to share their day with their friends and family! They love the Alaskan outdoors and the Hilltop Chalet was the perfect setting for their special day. The flowers were from Anchorage Floral and were vibrant and beautiful. The cupcakes were from Alaska Cake Studio and were d-e-l-i-s-c-i-o-u-s!
Here are a few image… Congrats Christ & Ben!

Recent newborn session… l Anchorage Family Photography l

This little sweet pea wasn’t too happy during her session, but with some patience we were able to capture some beautiful family images. I’m sure mom and dad will love the results. Thank you Seth and Ashley for coming to the studio and allowing me to photograph your sweet baby! Here is a recent family session with a sweet 3 month old baby girl.

Homer, Alaska… Recent macro photography

I wanted to share my favorite place to just wander with my camera and macro lens….the beach on the Homer Spit! I just walked the beach looking for treasures and listening to the waves crash ashore. I grew up in and around Homer. I miss the ocean and miss the windy, salty air. Some of my favorite childhood memories include the muddy beaches of the Kenai Peninsula so these images are special to me. I love the simple beauty, color palate and worn texture found in these images. Here are a few from our trip to the Homer Spit. I have 100’s to go through but these were some of my personal favorites…

Sweet one-year old… l Anchorage Family Photography l

This is one of my favorite images from Jazzy’s one-year old session. The backdrop is new to the studio and was custom painted for me by a fabulous painter! I’ve only used it a couple times and I just love the rich, warm colors. As for beautiful Jazzy, I just love her expression in this image. She isn’t super smiley, but it has a seems very “soulful” to me.

May every sunrise… l Fine Art Photograhy by Laura Stoddard l

Even though most of my photography work is mostly portrait style I love the chance to just spent time with my camera capturing the beauty of southcental Alaska. I occasionally share my personal work on the blog. Most of the photographs I share can be printed as fine-art pieces and are available for purchase. Please email me at laura @ laurastoddard.com if you are interested.
That being said here is an image I took this winter. I have opened the file many times but didn’t quite ever feel it was fabulous, until today! While searching a favorite site I found this amazing quote. I immediatly went searching for the beautiful winter sunrise image and added the quote. I love the result…

Mr. Cute… l Anchorage Family Photographer l

I don’t know how Hawkin’s mom is going to decide on a favorite from his 6-month session! Here are a couple of my favorites. These would look great framed together or a custom collage.

My heartbreaker…

I am biased since he is MY BABY but isn’t he cute! He’s a little mischief, a jumping bean, all boy and a lot of personality! This shot just melts my heart. He actually let me take his picture and smiled (This only happens once and awhile!). I love the too small shirt, 3-D glases and messy hair! This is my little heartbreaker Cole…
